I ate two – count ’em – two jelly donuts. I’m moments away from a sugar coma. I am due in the jury pool room at 12:30 p.m. My coma should be well underway by then.
I sure hope they don’t pick my sleepy ass for a jury today. I wouldn’t feel quite right about deliberating over someone else’s life when my brain is all sloggy and filled with raspberry jelly.
Oh, yeah, by the way
Don’t miss Jurassic Jury! Coming soon to a blog near you!
If they do pick you, they can always declare a mistrial on the grounds that the the woman in the back row, in the sugar-induced coma, missed some crucial information. This could be very good for the defense. Hey, they didn’t send you the doughnuts, did they?
and yes, I’m full aware of the fact that I misspelled donuts. I meant to do that. Just so you know.
Doughnut SHOULD be spelled the way you spelled it. It actually irritates me to spell it correctly. I think it’s slightly hilarious that we have the same idiosyncracy. I have no clue how idiosyncracy should be spelled, so I just keep typing letters until I think I’m done. 🙂
By the way, I like the new purple shoe banner. It reminds me of my favorite donut/doughnut/do-nots.
Cool. Glad you like it. I generally start hating the design and/or the colors after looking at them for a few days. But, I’ll try to keep it this way for a while. 🙂
I’m just waiting to get asked for jury duty. Any lawyer who believes that I will make a competent juror deserves whatever he or she gets.
